  1. I learned about a lot of great technology today. The one I can't wait to use is My Fake Wall. I have already thought of so many great ways to use it in my classroom. I have started working on for profiles for next year to go with my novel study on Dear Mr. Henshaw. I can't wait to start using the site for updates from some of the main characters.

  2. Like Amber, I thought the Fake Wall was great! One of the project options my students have for The Odyssey is to create a MySpace/Facebook page for a character from the story. This technology could be integrated with this project to make it more accessible and interesting for students.

  5. I was very impressed with everyone's presentations. As we were going through, I was writing down ideas I had for my own classroom utilizing most all the tools presented. I am very excited to get start implementing many of these in my classroom this school year.

  6. I learned so many new ideas today! I don't even know where to get started. I loved the Fake Wall and have even started one to use when we go back to school. Animoto looks awesome as does Spiderscribe. I hope to be able to use many of the resources I learned today.

  7. Like everyone else, I got so many ideas. I loved Spiderscribe because I started MindMapping with my students last year. I was using Mindmeister but it limits the number of maps you can make. I think Spiderscribe will make this activity much easier and I'm very excited about that!

  8. Some of the presentation tips I want to remember are to keep the P.D. as hands-on learning, create examples/lesson ideas for all grade levels present, split up the P.D. into smaller groups (by ability or grade levels), and ask a colleague to be a walker (such as another Pinnacle leader).

I learned one thing new from everyone here! Some of my favorites were Netvibes, Echalk, myfakewall, and classtools.net! All of these favorites were brand new to me. I love thinking of new ways I can integrate technology to better prepare my students for the 21st century.

  12. I really liked Netvibes that Jenna did because I would love to find a new way to do webquests in my classroom. I plan on using this tool! Also, in the past I have had my students make Facebook pages on PowerPoint or poster board and now I am going to use myfakewall.com. I think this is a great tool!

  15. Today I really liked Netvibes. I think this will be great for doing webquest with my kids. I also really liked quizlet. I liked the spelling feature where it will say the word and the students have to spell it. I will use this with my weekly spelling words for review

  16. Through today's presentations, I learned several topics to take back to my school and present to my staff. The presentations were put together nicely and it was very helpful with all of the handouts. I learned several ways to integrate the tools across the curriculum. Today was extremely beneficial to me. :)

  17. I have learned several new things to use in my classroom. One that I am excited to learn is the Netvibes taught to us by Jenna. This is similar to the United Streaming assignments but I really like how easy it is to set up!
