We've spent a lot of time today learning about Google. We covered mail, calendar, and docs...and there is more to come later in the week! After seeing the basics of Google and seeing a few examples of how other teachers use Google Apps in the classroom- how do you think Google will enhance the way you teach? Leave your thoughts and ideas in the comments section.
as webmaster i'm curious to see how calendar apps may be able to replace our current calendar.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to use GMail instead of Lotus Notes! I also think the Google Calendar is fabulous. I like that I will be able to embed a calendar on my website so I can easily update homework assignments.
ReplyDeleteI like using google sites in my classroom. It is very easy to setup and is kid friendly! I also like using google forms, great way to get student feedback.
ReplyDeleteI plan to use Google with my team to help us collaborate with one another. I think that this will help between our team meetings with sharing information throughout the week. Also, I think that this will be useful on a school wide level with the various PLC's. It will help meetings run smoother if there is a way to communicate other than meeting face to face.
ReplyDeleteI hope to use the calendar for homework assignments and up coming events and embed it into my web page!
ReplyDeleteI want my students to go paperless and use the Google docs in for their assignments. It will take time to get this together, but it will be great! Also, I love the idea of using Gmail (Google) for email! Another way I am going to use Google is embedding my calender on my school website.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to using Gmail and to being able to embed the calendar on my sharepoint webpage. I can see a lot of good uses for google docs not only for the classroom but also for professional networking.
ReplyDeleteI used Google last year, so the thing that I am most excited about it being able to collaborate with my peers. I think this will really help us to communicate faster and more effectively.

ReplyDeleteI am looking for ways for students to collaborate, create and share without the paper. Using Google is a great tool for them to use.
ReplyDeleteI plan to use Google docs to collaborate with my class more effectively. I think they will also be beneficial in collaborating with my PLC team. I have in the past used an online lesson plan book, but I am hoping I can use Google Calendar in a similar manner.
ReplyDeleteI hope that the technical issues I seem to be encountering get resolved soon. Right now it is like Christmas, and I have secretly already had a sneak peek at my presents but I have just been informed I can't open anything until Grandma gets here. (all because "You do not have permissions to open the Network Connections Folder.") I have a suped up new sports car but the dealer did not give me the keys.
Here is my blog so far.
